Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Fireworks are flying!

First off, Quincy Quarry would like to wish its ever growing legions of loyal Quincy Quarry readers a safe, sane, sunny, warm as well as reasonably sober enough Fourth of July long weekend holiday.

That and remembered to put Thunder Shirts© on their family pets.

Speaking of fireworks, those who love them can all but assuredly count on them continuing care of the latest scandal at the long scandal-plagued Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles.

As loyal Quincy Quarry readers know, the Quarry broke the news that the RMV’s Merit Ratings Board was lite up by the State Auditor over a year ago over the board’s failure to do its job – or even know it in at least some instances

In turn, the failure of the Merit Ratings Board to subsequently address its myriad of shortcomings noted in the audit include its failing to duly as well as summarily suspend the Massachusetts commercial driver’s license of a trucker who was cited for drunk driving in Connecticut.

The trucker then subsequently took out seven motorcyclists in a recent horrific fatal traffic accident in New Hampshire.

And following Quincy Quarry’s lead, the Boston Herald has piled on with numerous hit pieces, including the especially dreaded by politicians Boston Herald front page esposé.

Mayor yet again taking fire?
An old Facebook photo

For but a couple of the Herald’s numerous articles worth of coverage, including the noting one of at least two surely but coincidental family ties to Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch, read them here.

Needless to say, La Kocha Nostra is surely hoping to that the fireworks will go out over this year’s extended Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Bon chance, however, as many other major area media have also been duly dimed.

After all, Quincy Quarry believes in sharing breaking badly bad news©.

After the Quarry has first broken the news, that is.

As such, about the only remaining unknown matter of interest is how many heads will end up on pikes at the hack hire haven that is the Registry of Motor Vehicles Quincy-based Merit Ratings Board unit.

Heads on pikes!

For example, it should prove interesting to see if assistant director of operations of the Merit Rating Board Debra Eaton, a sister of Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch and who earns $96,246 a year, will survive the only to be expected cuts.

Needless to say, count on Quincy Quarry to cover the walkings of the plank in the comings days, weeks and probably even months as well as do so all the way to their respective splashdowns.

That and the also only to be expected impeding hack hires by the City of Quincy of at some among this latest round of soon to be terminated state job holding hacks.
