In short, Boston go Brách

Then again, such was probably was only to be expected.

Shot across the bow

In the very first roasting of his speech after a few gentle warm ups while acknowledging key major figures in attendance and thanking event organizer State Senator Nick Collins (D, South Boston), Boston Mayor Marty Walsh’s very first shot across the bow can be seen at the two minute and forty seconds point of a video of his brief speech was inflicted upon the City of Quincy.

Direct hit!

The reason for Mayor Walsh’s check into the boards was to lob a direct hit upon the City of Quincy.

And the hit:  the United States Environmental Protection Agency filing a federal lawsuit against Quincy on Friday over Quincy’s decade-long dumpings of raw sewerage into the Boston harbor.

And for his second high and inside strike on Quincy, Mayor Walsh followed by suggesting that such spillings of effluent was only to be expected given all of the bovine byproduct that Quincy’s City Hall has been hurling Boston’s way over the City of Boston’s considerable range of legal rights to rebuild its bridge to Long Island as well as do so on its own dime.

And for his third strike during his speech, Mayor Walsh threw some shade onto United States House of Representative Stephen Lynch (D-South Boston) and frequent Quincy Mayor Koch supporter by suggesting that Lynch should feel free to clap along with the rest of the audience over Walsh’s well-received tossing back Quincy’s trash talking and sewerage back onto its source.

The beat down goes on from the great beyond …

In any event, it would appear safe to assume that Boston’s City Hall under Mayor Walsh’s administration is at least cognizant of previous Boston Mayor the late Tom Menino’s feud with Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch over Koch’s welshing on a promise made to Menino nine years ago when Koch instead opted to appease Squantum NIMBY’s.
