The New York Daily News and NESN sportswriters are sparring over New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s alleged soliciting of sexual favors.
As one could have only expected, sports media have commenced sparring over Kraft’s pending charges of allegedly soliciting prostitutes at a Jupiter Florida massage parlor on multiple occasions.
New York Daily News writer Jane McManus took a swing at Kraft and a New England sportswriter swung back at her.
NFL must ban Robert Kraft if sex trafficking allegations are true
At first it may seem funny about the most powerful man in the league.
But the allegations against the Patriots owner are deeply disturbing.https://t.co/P6AHlY40aS— New York Daily News (@NYDailyNews) February 23, 2019
Specifically, the NESN reporter accused Ms. McManus overreached by accusing Kraft of engaging in human trafficking and which Kraft it would appear he did not do.
Such sparring by sports writers is common, especially among media who cover rival teams.
In this instance, however, Quincy Quarry has to call what is an admittedly close play at the plate for Ms. McManus.
Key reasons include that she did clearly elaborate her sentiments such that one can appreciate her position.
Reading is super hard, so I’m going to spoon-feed the part about why this is different from consensual sex for money, and why Kraft may not be legally liable but still ethically responsible for participating in a sex trafficking ring. pic.twitter.com/2URl0f5WA9

Conversely, her opposite at the New England Sports Network has opted for promulgating an arguable legalistic parsing of her comments without benefit of a license to practice law.
That and being a homer given that he further skirted the fact that a New England Patriots official has issued a categorical denial of any wrongdoing by Mr. Kraft in spite of the fact that contemporaneously local law enforcement stated that it has video documenting his alleged crimes.
Not addressed, however, by any other media than perhaps now by Quincy Quarry is why Robert Kraft, a billionaire a handful of times over, was apparently caught patronizing a massage parlor operating in a strip mall in a middle income community for most likely a rub and a tug.
After all, Mr, Kraft surely could have easily afforded to arrange for a discrete courtesan to visit him to scratch his purported itch at his snowbird condo in Palm Beach rather than spend an hour or so of his valuable time schlepping to and then from a déclassé massage parlor operating in a strip mall in Jupiter Florida.
Plus, in the era of #meT00, things have changed.
At least sorta/kinda.
