Massachusetts State Police troopers rescue man hanging from the Neponset Bridge.
Shortly before dawn on Monday,Massachusetts State Police troopers out of the South Boston State Police Barracks responded to the Neponset Bridge given a report of a person trying to harm himself.
The troopers found a man hanging off the railing on the outside of the bridge directly above the Pope John Paul II Park bike path.
The responding troopers immediately took action and grabbed hold of the man to prevent him from falling to the ground.
Members from the Boston Police Department assisted troopers at the scene and Boston EMS transported the man to Boston Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
Given deadlines, Quincy Quarry did not not seek out to the State Police to inquire if the person might be a Quincy commuter who was at the end of his rope given the horrific traffic backlogs on the bridge during the weekday morning commute.

Politicians been saying lately they don’t build walls but they want to build bridges. Perhaps we should be building walls on bridges!
