Bicycle ride-sharing glut continues to litter Chinese cities.

In the wake of Quincy Quarry’s recent again citing reports of ride-sharing bikes littering Quincy streets – this time contemporaneously with yesterday’s snowstorm, the Quarry’s Quarry’s media brethren at China Uncensored reports that Chinese bike-sharing companies compete by flooding the market and the consequences are stacking up!

As history clearly shows dating back to least as far back as the Dutch Tulip Bulb and South Sea Company investment bubbles, the economic and social consequences of “irrational exuberance” all but invariably hit the fan eventually as well as often dramatically so.

In turn, how badly will much more this latest speculative frenzy impacts Quincy remains to be seen.

To date, detrimental impacts in Quincy from ridesharing bicycles include polluting harbor water near the Hough’s Neck Public Landing.

That and clogging up local sidewalks.

As such, count on Quincy Quarry to follow ride-sharing bikes all the way to the scrapyard.
