Quincy jobbed by another snow job?

Last night’s first snowfall of the year in Quincy was a bit more than expected.

Even so, Quincy Quarry is unaware of any out of the ordinary delays on the MBTA’s Braintree Red Line.

Conversely,however, and as was previously reported by Quincy Quarry, pre-storm efforts by the City of Quincy do not appear to have been duly undertaken.

Further, the graveyard shift at Quincy Quarry did not see any obvious signs of plowing or even merely but treating main thoroughfares until well after closing time, not to mention apparently little to nothing was done to clear side streets in time for the morning commute.

Fortunately, while morning commute was thus sloppy, rising temperatures and a resultant change from snow to rain cleared snow from most side streets shortly after the end of the morning commute.

Unfortunately, however, are reports of a number of ridesharing Lime Bikes dumped on and so littering at least some of the ever increasingly mean and now also cold streets of the Q.

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to the City of Quincy’s Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Light Department as well as its Department of Public Works for comments, but decided that there was nothing to be gained from being left on hold interminably.
