Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Steam heat continues to parboil the Q!

While the muggies and tropical downpours continue to hammer the Q during the dog days of summer, truly epic exposés have conversely all but dried up locally of late.

At most, breaking badly bad news© broke – and as Quincy Quarry has long expected – that dockless bike ride sharing service ofo ended up in a sea of red ink and so bailed out of the Q.

But not to worry, Lime Bike has already been lined up as the next lamb to locally slaughter financially care of a speculative venuture.

And as for more statewide breaking badly bad news©, yet another Massachusetts state trooper has been indicted in federal court on charges of grifting over fourteen thousand dollars in allegedly undeserved overtime pay.

Not that this is exactly new news.

Not even close.

Rather, what the ever growing legions of Quincy Quarry readers are far more interested in is what is the over-and-under on the final number of troopers to be indicted.

That and how to then lay down their bets betting on the subsequent numbers of convictions and plea deals struck during the playoffs.

In the meanwhile, Quincy Quarry had no choice but to cover some positive news – at least as regards Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is concerned as he continues to be the most popular governor in the country in spite of the fact that he is a Republican statewide office holder in the most Democratically blue state in the country.

In fact, Governor Baker is more popular in Massachusetts than is Democratic Massachusetts United States Senator Elizabeth Warren – and who is one of the presumptive challengers of President Trump in 2020 – as both Baker and Warren both face reelection bids during the 2018 midterm elections.

Then again, per political time, November is an eternity away as regards how the actual vote counts will play out come Election Day.

As such, count on Quincy Quarry to cover this year’s election season and as only the Quarry has the stones to cover.
