Police said they were called to the site on Friday at about 6:30 AM after receiving a report of a car in the water.

The vehicle was out approximately 50 yards from the shoreline, prompting Warham police officer Christopher Corner to wade out to the vehicle to make sure it was unoccupied.

Responding officers then determined that the driver of the vehicle had made it back to her residence.  As a result of an investigation into the mishap, the driver is now facing a charge of operating under the influence of alcohol, police said.
