Rockland Vice Chair seeks to block release of surveillance footage of alleged hanky panky at Rockland Town Hall.

The South Shore broadsheet and Quincy Quarry’s media brethren has reported that the currently on leave female Rockland Board of Selectman Vice Chair who has accused the Rockland Town Administrator of behaving inappropriately toward her is now seeking an injunction to block the town from releasing surveillance footage of a purported after-hours encounter between the two last month inside of Rockland’s Town Hall.

In an emergency motion filed Wednesday with the court, a lawyer for the Vice Chair argued that releasing the footage would cause further embarrassment to (her and, ed.) her family.

That and perhaps hamper the town’s ongoing investigation of allegations of inappropriate actions by the now also on leave Town Administrator.

At the same time, it was conceded in the motion that the accuser’s allegations were made in spite of the fact that she has no recollection of the May 17 “incident” in town hall “…as a result of impairment.”

In other words, the long anticipated inside of the Quincy Quarry newsroom “bad ice cube” excuse.

In any event, a hearing on the motion is set for today at 2 p.m. in Plymouth Superior Court.

Of further interest, the Chairman of the Rockland Board of Selectmen provided an affidavit in support of the motion to block the releasing of the video.

Of particular further interest is how the Chairman claimed specific knowledge of a missing minute of the purported security video of the alleged deed as well as heard the audio of what is said to be a video-only recording.

Very salty language.
