President Donald Trump floats pardon for Muhammad Ali even though boxing great doesn’t need one.
President Trump says he’s “thinking about that very seriously” about granting a posthumous presidential pardon for Muhammad Ali, apparently oblivious of the fact that in 1971 the United States Supreme Court unanimously overturned Ali’s conviction for resisting the draft on religious grounds as a practicing Muslim.
Apparently, the Ivy League school graduate did not study history or follow current events while attending the University of Pennsylvania.
Plus, he does tend to believe that much of the news is “fake news”
Ali's conviction was overturned, rendering it moot. But I have to think Ali, were he able, wouldn't accept a pardon.
