Starbucks is under fire for its treatment of black customers.

 

At the same time, its minority baristas say they have also experienced racism.

 

Yesterday afternoon, Starbucks closed all of its roughly eight thousand domestic venues for several hours to conduct racial and other sensitivity training in the wake of negative press over a Philadelphia area Starbucks manager calling the cops over a case of waiting while black.

 

In interviews with Business Insider, many former and current Starbucks baristas say they have also faced racial discrimination at work – and mainly from customers.
