President Donald Trump cannot block users from his Twitter feed, federal judge rules.

 

In a ruling that will surely give rise to an epic Twitter storm, a federal judge ruled that President Trump’s blocking users from viewing his Twitter account is unconstitutional and a violation of the First Amendment.

The seven plaintiffs in this lawsuit argued that Trump’s Twitter account constituted a public forum under the First Amendment, and that the White House was violating the plaintiffs’ First Amendment right to petition their government for redress of grievances and the judge concurred with their brief.
