Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: Friday the 13th cometh to the Q.

After a winter full of all sorts of discontents, a Friday the Thirteenth is ultimately only to be expected.

State Police patch, patched up – whatever

Amazingly, however, there has not been any new breaking badly bad news© breaking on the Massachusetts State Police in the past few days.

Then again, Friday is always the preferred day to roll out problematic news in the hope of working the normally quiet weekend news cycle.

Locally, however, there was some problematic news.

What’s old to soon become new again?

For example, the City of Boston announced that it was earmarking another fifty million – and so now totaling up to ninety-two million on hand to rebuild the Long Island Bridge.

Needless to say, Squantum residents yet again have moved to DEFCON One alert status as well as that the Koch Maladministration is yet again pandering to them by saying that it will fight Boston’s plans.

Still banging on the Q?

So what if Quincy ultimately has virtually no say over the City of Boston’s legal rights to use its property or how it spends its money as it deems appropriate.

Conversely, however, the Koch Maladministration has to date already blown around a million – or more – of taxpayers’ money in total in Land Court pressing losing positions on permitting and other such land use matters.

On the bright side, at least Tom Menino is no longer the Mayor of Boston as Mumbles would pound Stumpy like a drum whereas Mahty will just steadily amble along as he proceeds to rebuild the bridge.

And in another attempt to pander, Quincy Mayor Tom Koch was among the few (crypto, ed.) Republicans to greet Vice President Mike Pence when he arrived at Logan Airport earlier this week to host a big bucks donor Republican Party fundraiser whereas Republican Governor Charlie Baker begged off as he was already booked to attend a Chamber of Commerce rubber chicken dinner in the South Shore.

Unknown at this point, however, is if Mayor Koch was pandering for much needed millions in federal funding to help see his curious plans to Make Quincy Great Again©, seeking tips on how to bag big bucks for his campaign fund – or perhaps both.

Needless to say, Quincy Quarry will continue to doggedly monitor things until it might eventually dig up answers to the burning questions of the day about the Q.

For example, will Quincy Mayor Thomas P. Koch finally come out as a Trumpster?

As such, if, when and/or how Mayor Koch might finally come out, count on the Quarry to exposé it as only it the stones to do.

After all, Quincy Quincy isn’t Google’s top-ranked source for News about Quincy absent ample good reasons.
