Howie Carr is staying put in the pages of the Herald. 

 

At least for now.

 

The conservative columnist says he was “invited to stay on” after the paper was bought by Alden Global Capital.

 

 

Asked if he had taken a pay cut, Carr wouldn’t say.

 

Nor would he tell say if he might be unhappy that Alden Global Capital — dubbed “vulture capitalists” by some former Herald staffers — is the paper’s new owner as of this week following the recent bankruptcy auction of the Herald.
