State Senator Stanley Rosenberg takes leave of absence from Senate Presidency.

 

State Senator Stan Rosenberg announced today that he is temporarily stepping down as Senate president while impending investigations into allegations of sexual harassment committed by his husband proceed.

Unclear, however, is how Senate rules would allow him to take a temporarily step aside as well as have the option to return to the State Senate Presidency on his call at some future date.

 

In other breaking badly news for now but State Senator Rosenberg, both the State Attorney General and Suffolk County District attorney announced that they were both prepared to launch criminal investigations into the allegations of sexual harassment by Senator Rosenberg’s much younger husband and which are why Rosenberg is stepping away from the State Senate Presidency.
