Smelling a chump in the water, three state senators have been scrambling to secure support to succeed embattled Massachusetts State Senate President Stanley Rosenberg (D-Amherst) given his ensnaring within a still burgeoning sex scandal involving his husband.

DiDomenico (D-Everett), Linda Dorcena Forry (D-Boston) and Eileen Donoghue (D-Lowell) are said to have scrambled over the weekend to line up votes they would need to take the presidency, after Stated Senator Barbara L’Italien (D-Andover) said she’ll ask Rosenberg to step down at today’s senate caucus.

Since L’Italien has huge ethics issues of her own, they decided that she will be the one to ask Rosenberg to step down. Due to present circumstances, she would be the last to get the job but the first to ask him to resign? Our ruling class sure does have some strange standards.
