Beacon Hill under fire over harassment

Beacon Hill legislators continue to feel heat over sexual harassment.

The Boston Globe’s Yvonne Abraham, whose column last week on sexual harassment on Beacon Hill hit the statehouse like a bomb shell, has written of other females who have also been harassed by state legislators as well as other denizens of Beacon Hill.

For example, Ms. Abraham cited one female lobbyist as as saying “If you’re being harassed by a legislator, or another lobbyist, there’s not much recourse … You can’t go to HR.”

Yvonne Abraham added: “I hope that every single man in Massachusetts politics who has objectified and harassed women is losing sleep at night, worrying their names will come out.  Only if they believe that inexcusable behavior has consequences will they stop behaving inexcusably.  More women are stepping forward with tales of sexual harassment at the State House and in politics in general in Massachusetts.”
