Quincy Center busted traffic light still busted.

As Quincy Quarry’s every growing legions of loyal readers know, the Quarry is dogged in its pursuit of exposés of the long as well as always soft underbelly of the Koch Maladministration.

That and how such also makes for easy pickings and is thus useful on a slow day for finding breaking badly bad news© to then feature in Quincy Quarry.

In this instance, Quincy Quarry News personnel circled back around and so found that that an expensive and still somewhat new fancy ornamental cast iron traffic light pole along the route of the Hancock Street Misalignment Project is still broken.  That and how a large piece broken off it is still lying at the scene of what one can only assume was a motor vehicle collusion that damaged this traffic light upright.

While the Quarry will give an overly generous consideration to the City of Quincy’s sixteen month old Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Light Department to finally get around to ordering replacement parts to replace the broken part, there is no excuse whatsoever for so large a broken piece of the damaged traffic light upright to have not yet been cleared from the sidewalk over four months after it was broken off the upright.

As such, expect Quarry Quarry to continue to doggedly hound this shortcoming until it might finally be addressed by the Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Light Department.
