Quincy Police cruiser damaged in crash in front of Quincy Police Department headquarters.

Tuesday morning shortly before lunch, a Quincy Police Department SUV was heavily damaged in a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Southern Artery with Sea Street and thus right in front of the Quincy Police Department’s headquarters.

The front of the Quincy Police Department SUV cruiser was heavily damaged and the other car, a grey Toyota Corolla, reportedly suffered damage to (at least, ed.) its driver side doors.

While no official accident report has yet been made available, the nature of the accident would suggest either a possible right of way violation by the driver of the cruiser or perhaps the passenger car driver going against a traffic light at what has long been one of the most accident-prone intersections in Quincy.

At the same time, Quincy Quarry will not offer further comment as to the Quincy Police Department headquarters immediate proximity to this accident-prone intersection.

Regardless, expect Quincy Quarry to continue to follow this breaking story about two now broken motor vehicles and report back should any new developments warrant additional coverage.
