For months there has been all manner of speculation as to why New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, arguably the first major Republican office holder to come out in support of then candidate Donald Trump, ended up kicked to the curb after Trump won last fall’s election.

 

Was it Christie successful prosecution and so sending to prison the father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner?

Or just a simple dislike of the now most disliked major elected official in the country?

 

Nope: it was apparently as simple as Christie offering his cell phone to the notoriously germaphobic Donald Trump.
