– News about Quincy from a Quincy Quarry News Citizen Photojournalist.
Quincy Center streetlights crooked.
Courtesy of one of Quincy Quarry’s growing legions of Citizen Photojournalists, Quincy Quarry was apprised of yet another set of crooked streetlights in the Q.
Then again, anyone who is a regular reader of Quincy Quarry knows that just about anything tied to the City of Quincy is not on the level.
Even so, the odd thing about this crooked streetlight pole is that there are no obvious signs of any impact(s) that could have caused this light pole to be off plumb.
At most, only signs of some rust could be found on what is a well over dozen year old streetlight.
As such, one can only assume that the also locally common problem that things were not on the level from the start when this streetlight was first installed.
In any event, given that this particular streetlight would appear to be fitted with a video camera, Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to the City’s long controversial Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Light Department to see if it might have video showing whatever it was that knocked this streetlight sideways.
Fortunately for some lowly and starving student intern, however, the City Editor wisely decided why bother spending likely hours and hours and hours even more doing what city workers should be doing.
In any event, as for how much all else is crooked in the Q, follow Quincy Quarry as it continues to relentlessly exposé the soft underbelly of the Koch Maladministration.
Afer all, Quincy Quarry has not long been long been ranked by Google as its top-ranked source for News about Quincy without good as well as ample reasons.

Who knows, but this streetlight may have been INSTALLED crooked. Or perhaps the anchoring was installed improperly and has deteriorated over time.
Shall we begin wagering on how long before the light is:
A. Repaired.
or
B. Falls over, possibly injuring or killing someone.
There is, of course, another aspect that must be considered: Door #3!
If ‘B’ (above) occurs, how much might the then so ensuing lawsuit cost the city and – by extension – local taxpayers who get stuck with the bill for every incompetent and impotent course of action the Koch Administration has undertaken.
Dom,
Put the Quarry down for Door #3 AND taking the over.
Yes, that’s where the smart money is trending.
Even better, Team Koch members are placing enough offsetting sucker bets that the odds remain attractive for the smart money.
What I can’t figure out is how they any money left to bet given their Koch Campaign tithe obligations. At least not via reported income.
