On the other hand, US presidents typically enjoy at a least a honeymoon of a ratings pop whenever they travel abroad.

Still, it is only fair to note that these polling data results are from the Rasmussen Poll and which does tend list heavily to starboard.

 

Plus, it was not clear if this ratings pop was care of the public viewing his state visits positively or if they were just glad that he was out of the country.

 

Even so, given how President Trump’s approval ratings have long been sinking, the following tweet was only to be expected.
