Chuck duckwalked long before Michael moonwalked

Johnny B. Good, Johnny be gone …

One of the originators of Rock ‘n Roll as well as one of its greatest, Chuck Berry died yesterday at the age of ninety in his home in St. Louis.

How great was Berry?  Arguably even greater than one might think.

For but one of his many accomplishments during his lifetime, he was one of the first crossover acts to also cross over racial lines in a big way.

A really big way.

Berry leaves Themetta, his wife of almost 70 years, four children and – of course – Maybellene.
