Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap:  Snow Jobs aplenty but no freebies to be had in the Q.

Winter Storm Stella turned out to be pretty much of a bust – at least as far as the Q was concerned – as its storm path wobbled just enough westerly for the back end of the storm to turn to rain both earlier and more so than had been originally anticipated.

Even so, the local snow removal response by local taxpayer-funded resources was still an arguable bust.

After all the huffing and puffing before the storm of an impending potential near record-setting March snowstorm, Stella’s actual snowfall was only around half of what was expected as – and again – heavier and earlier rainfall on the back end of the storm helped wash away a great deal of snow off of local streets, driveways, sidewalks and even some parking lots.

In fairness, however, it still must be noted that only one Snow Day was imposed as local public schools were able reopen on Wednesday.

Needless to say, Snow Dazed parents were ecstatic.

Then again, local snow removal crews had close to eighteen hours to clear only half as much snow as had been expected.

Speaking of fairness, it is only fair to also note that only a modest number of homes lost power during the storm.

The Number One Ward Heeler

In particular, Quincy’s Number One Ward Heeler apparently was one of relatively few left without power locally care of Stella.

Given an apparent modest volume of outbound social media status updates, it would also appear that she was perhaps caught with a less than complete charge on her smartphone.

Thus some positive news notwithstanding, Stella was still a bust.

So much so that Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker all but busted the National Weather Service in the chops for failing to downgrade the expected snowfall from Stella after National Weather Service clearly data indicated a lesser storm.

Free Snow Jobs!
A Pornhub “G” rated PR photo

And speaking of storm-related busts, long suffering Quincy residents were not able to take advantage of free snow jobs.

As a PR stunt, the website PornHub retained a modest fleet of snowplows and was offering free snow clearing.

Unfortunately, the offer of free snow jobs was limited to residents and businesses within the City of Boston.

In any event, expect a series of hard-hitting-post storm scorecard exposés from Quincy Quarry about some of the latest avalanche of snow jobs inflicted upon the long suffering residents of the Q as well as as only the Quarry the stones to publish.

After all, who better than Quincy Quarry to make fun of the far from funny trying to be funny?

Then again, Quincy Quarry isn’t Google’s top ranked source for News About Quincy without ample as well as compelling metrics.
