Traffic safety sign taken down at fatal intersection
A Quincy Quarry News exclusive photo

Quincy traffic sign down at the site of a recent local pedestrian fatality.

While cruising the ever-increasingly mean streets of Quincy on a brisk sunny Sunday afternoon and looking for news, Quincy Quarry news personnel happened upon an important traffic safety traffic sign knocked down and so strewn in the street at the intersection of Granite Street and Burgin Parkway.

As the ever growing legions of loyal Quincy Quarry readers will recall, the Quarry recently covered the news of a recent pedestrian fatality at this very same as well as very busy intersection.

Traffic directer doesn’t have anyone working weekends? A City of Quincy official mugshot.

Given the importance of traffic safety, Quincy Quarry only properly made an effort to reach out to the City of Quincy’s new this Fiscal Yard Department of Traffic, Parking, Alarm and Light to report this downed sign so that it might be fixed at least in time for the Monday morning commute.

Unfortunately,  per the City of Quincy’s still buggy new website, the Quarry discovered that this department is only open 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Mondays through Fridays, holidays excluded, as well as that no after hours emergency number is obviously noted.

As such, the Quarry can only hope that no more fatal traffic accidents will occur at this dangerous intersection before this traffic safety sign might perhaps be fixed sometime on Monday.

That and expect Quincy Quarry to continue to follow this story for any other breaking bad news developments.
