Backlash continues over the exclusion of gay veterans group from Boston’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

 

Event sponsors are threatening to drop their support of the parade as well as many prominent individuals expected to participate in the parade are instead now looking likely to be taking a hike.

 

Among others, Boston City Councilor Ayanna Pressley said the exclusion of a gay veterans group from St. Patrick’s Day Parade in South Boston “confirms the worst of what some people believe” about the neighborhood.
