QUINCY – The Boston Police Department’s bomb squad is in Quincy this afternoon after a man brought what appears to be a grenade into the police station.

The man said he found the object in a relative’s house in Hanover, wrapped it in a yellow cloth and immediately brought it to the Quincy Police Department headquarters.

It is unclear why he brought the item to Quincy.
