Quincy’s Number One Ward Heeler was taken to task by an anonymous pamphleteer.

Quincy’s Number One Ward Heeler has been dissed with an apparently targetied mailing by sent out an anonymous pamphleteer.

The anonymous pamphleteer took the Ward Heeler to task for her carrying water to help bailout a struggling restaurant in her neighborhood via a proposed sizeable injection of taxpayers’ money.

But then again, it’s not like this would be the first time that someone with connections to City Hall was bailed out with curiously spent tax money.

Alternatively, however, one could make an interesting conflict of interest argument against the Ward Heeler’s proactive involvement in the underlying matter in this instance.

Regardless of how this matter plays out, Quincy Quarry herein goes on the record that neither it nor anyone on its staff had anything whatsoever to do with the production of the anonymous mailing, much less any advance knowledge of it – not that these verities are going change the minds of the ward heeler or her looking to perhaps be an ever-shrinking posse of supporters.

Granted, while the mailing did include satire as well as cited factual published material from another local area news source, the fact of the matter is that even a rudimentary linguist review of this mailing’s text with anything ever published by Quincy Quarry personnel would find not a single thread of stylistic similarities, much less any grammatical fingerprints.

Rather, at most, one could only validly suggest that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

In any event, the Quarry made some inquiries so as to endeavor to discern the range and size of the mailing.

A modest number of recipients were so found, including one duplicate recipient of the mailing.

Quincy Quarry also endeavored to discern who may have sent the mailing; however, it was not able to do so.

At the same time, the Quarry did find out that a similar anonymous mailing was sent out a couple of weeks ago via an also plain white stamped envelope with a printed address label and a generic Boston postmark.

The only apparent difference between the two mailings is that the earlier one is said to have only anonymously noted without any comment the time, place and minimal particulars for a then-upcoming neighborhood meeting hosted by the Ward Heeler on the matter that was later dissed in the second and similarly sent letter.

Unfortunately, the Quarry has been unable to obtain a copy of the first mailing and so then be able to turn it over to the Quarry’s forensic analysis team for examination to discern if there might be any obvious visual or other similarities to the more recent anonymous mailing.

Even so, Quincy Quarry will continue to see if it can find out anything more as well as will report on same as might be appropriate.
