NEWTON – A Quincy man was arrested Tuesday after police say he stabbed another man in the head outside a pharmacy in West Newton Square.

 

Chad Michael Kirby, 36, was arrested at the scene on Watertown Street in West Newton, according to Lt. Bruce Apotheker, a spokesman for the Newton Police Department. Kirby faces charges of assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person over 60 years old.

 

A few hours after the incident, Apotheker did not have any significant information about the victim other than his age.
