An ill-advised Facebook posting by Koch spokesmodel Walkbacker

Quincy Hancock Street Misalignment project not to be completed until 2017.

While Koch Maladministration spokesmodel Pinocchio Walkbacker is surely loath to yet again have to face potential questioning about yet another Koch Maladministration era municipal project running at least wicked late – if not also over budget, Quincy Quarry was still able to discern that the Hancock Street Misalignment project will not be fully completed until sometime no sooner than next spring.

Specifically, while the utterly confusing and thus widely-reviled new maze of a roadway has been completed, at least the “streetscaping” work along side of it is incomplete and as documented via exclusive Quincy Quarry photography.

For example, decorative brick paving at number of crosswalks and elsewhere along the route of the maze has not been laid.

Similarly, concrete work was variously not done – or perhaps not done properly.

As such, temporary asphalt was laid and so adding to the expense of this expensive project as well as thus legging out a project that was supposed to only take two construction seasons to complete to instead span four construction seasons.

Additionally, it is only reasonable to assume that a considerable number of the larger caliper and thus more expensive trees, as well as perhaps other plantings planted along the maze, will need to be replaced given an expected to be much higher than the standard expected mortality rate of newly planted trees and plants.

Whether mostly likely other additional work and thus expensive do-over will be needed remains to be seen.

As such, expect Quincy Quincy to duly follow this boondoggle to its eventual as well as all but assuredly expensive conclusion.
