Quincy Quarry sees partial results following its broken tree limb exposés.

In wake of the Quarry’s exclusive as well as ongoing reporting on a broken tree limb – and thus a potential threat to public safety –  on the grounds of Quincy High school, the Quarry has arguably good news: the limb has been moved such that it no longer blocks the sidewalk.

That and so now perhaps somewhat mitigating this long broken limb’s potential risk to public school student safety.

When, however, the but modest additional efforts needed to finally haul it away might be made remains to perhaps be seen.

However, with scheduling all but “essential” standard overtime likely to perhaps be on hold among City of Quincy departments for reasons obvious at this point barring all manner of probably less than cost/benefit managerial review approval efforts, one can only assume that the limb will remain for some time yet to come.

That and so also assuming that at least various of the managers reviewing the assumed overtime approval requests may themselves be accruing massive comp time for their efforts in a yet another effort by city officials to endeavor to at least appear to be engaging in effective management practices.

Further, such efforts could also provide at least some managers with the time to perhaps meet with council to discuss their rights and such as regards the ongoing overtime scandal that is currently roiling at least the Quincy Police Department, if not also giving rise to as least insomnia for at least a few City Hall officials.

Needless to say, expect Quincy Quarry to continue to follow both these two ongoing stories as well as surely others yet to come as news in the Q is expected to continues to break badly.
