– News about Quincy from Quincy Quarry News

Quincy Center’s new trees appear to have been planted high and then left out to dry.

The new and surely expensive large caliper trees planted along the currently running almost a year behind schedule Hancock Street Misalignment Project in Quincy Center are going without much watering.

In fact, not only is the expensive underground automatic watering system installed to water the trees still not working properly weeks after it was installed, the trees also appear to be drying out faster than someone in a locked ward at a Betty Ford clinic.

While the pictures taken by Quincy Quarry do not clearly display water stress, the Quarry’s in-house horticultural expert examined the trees and found clear signs of concern for the trees future viability.

After all, while only God can make a tree, the lack of watering by humans can readily kill a newly planted tree.

Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to City Hall for comment, especially as both the not duly watered trees are right in front of City Hall as well as that the mayor was previously the long-time head of the City of Quincy’s Parks Department.

However, it was only properly assumed by the Quarry’s City Editor that there was no point in wasting time being ignored when there are so many other exposés for Quincy Quarry to expose about the myriad of misdoings in the Q.

Even so, do expect Quincy Quarry to continue to follow the story of the long ongoing as well as often fatal arboreal abuse committed in the Q.
