Harlem Globetrotters ride the T – but no word if they ever returned.
In a move one can only assume was a perfectly standard joint public relations promotional effort by the world famous Harlem Globetrotters and the infamously infamous MBTA, Globetrotter players rode the T, showed kids how to do some of their stunts, and handed out a considerable number of free tickets to one of their shows during their two week swing through Worcester, Boston, Lowell, Providence RI and Manchester NH.
The Globetrotters are celebrating 90 years on the road this year and so entertaining their many millions of fans around the world. That and   continuing the longest winning streak in the game of basketball.

And for those whose missed seeing the Globetrotters out riding on the T as well as missed seeing Charlie riding on the MTA, watch the following videos!
