Code Red snow clearing emergency at Quincy’s City Hall?
During yesterday’s first middling snow event this winter, a Quincy Quarry news team was almost run over by speeding Department of Public Works truck.
As the truck’s light bar was flashing, the team generously gave the driver the benefit of the doubt that the near miss was nothing personal and instead opted to then follow the truck.

It turned to not be too long a follow: the truck very soon thereafter pulled over and stopped in front of City Hall as well as that its passengers eventually commenced to exit the truck and then later actually move some snow around in front of City Hall.
As the time was fast approaching (the official, ed.) quitting time for City Hall workers, one can thus readily assume what was the emergency.
That and this particular Quincy Quarry News team left well enough alone as it saw no reason to bother trying to contact Department of Public Works Commissar Dan “Spanky” Raymondi for comment, much less did the crew care to suffer him droning on and on and on some more about the heroic and hardworking (few, ed.) women and (at least some not exactly hardworking, ed.) men at the DPW.
