Republican power brokers quietly prepare for a brokered convention
As expected by anyone truly familiar with such things, senior Republican party figures are preparing for the increasingly likely likelihood that no candidate will come into the Republican presidential nomination convention next summer with sufficient delegates to secure a first ballot nomination.

That and how the power brokers are probably also  doing what they can to head off Trump from ending up with the nomination and so lead the at least the Republican Party, if not also the country, to disaster come next year’s federal elections.
Additionally, one Republican candidate does not appear to appreciate how brokered conventions happen and thus planning for one is a good idea given his threatening to run a third party independent campaign at a point when his bid for the Republican nomination looks to be foundering.
More importantly, Quincy Quarry as well as others have yet decided to turn to Richard Nixon for his often sage thoughts and they follow.
