Quincy Quarry coverage yields parking sign temporary fixes?
In the wake of the long ongoing series of hard-hitting exposés by Quincy Quarry on the long ongoing parking problems in Quincy Center, the Quarry’s recent exposing of the simply jamming of used and often snowplow-dinged parking signs into the new landscaping beds along the Hancock Street misalignment project that will not be landscaped until next year given yet another mismanagement Q-up appears to have perhaps resulted in some positive news.

The damaged traffic signs stuck in the ground have been replaced by also used, if not also damaged, parking signs that have been affixed to the new streetlight poles along Hancock Street in Quincy Center.
There is, however, a downside to this latest development: the signs are apparently but temporarily attached with zip ties and thus apparently likely to eventually perhaps be subject to a third and – one would hope – permanent installation of a sort yet to be discerned.
One can only wonder the toawhat will be the wasteful expense so incurred by such a “three-peat;” then again, multiple do-overs and redoes are all but de rigueur in the Q during the era of the Koch Maladministration.

Also all but de rigueur is the all but abject disregard of local parking regulations by motor vehicle operators as well as the apparent inability of local parking control personnel to successfully deal with parking scofflaws.
In other works, even more of the same old same old in the Q.
