Marijuana is associated brain dysfunction.

In what most will likely see as a keen sense of the obvious, US media report that a British medical research journal article noted that “high potency marijuana is associated with disturbed callosal microstructural organization in individuals with and without psychosis.”

In other words, a pothead.

The study was published in Psychological Medicine ©, a Cambridge University academic journal.

The research team’s conclusions:  “Frequent use of high-potency cannabis is associated with disturbed callosal microstructural organization in individuals with and without psychosis. Since high-potency preparations are now replacing traditional herbal drugs in many European countries, raising awareness about the risks of high-potency cannabis is crucial.”

While arguably this study could be seen as but sharing a keen sense of the obvious, NORML and other cannabis proponents are currently seeking to seen a ballot question on the ballot to legalize unrestricted recreational marijuana use by adults in the Commonwealth.

That and in the meanwhile, Quincy is slated to eventually be the host city of a medicinal marijuana dispensary.

When this head shop finally opens up in Quincy, however, is moving along as fast a stoner driving his – or her – ride.
