Trump cruising for a bruising in Iowa care of Cruz?
In the latest poll de jure, a Quinnipiac University poll found Donald Trump enjoying 25% support of Iowa voters whereas Texas Senator Ted Cruz was found to be nipping at the Donald’s heels with 23% support and a virtual tie statistically speaking.
Among the many interesting points found by this poll, Quincy Quarry found the following of particular interest: “Among Iowa Republican Caucus-goers, 26 percent say they ‘would definitely not support’ Bush, with 23 percent saying ‘no way’ to Trump” – again a virtual tie statistically speaking.
Also note one of Dick Nixon’s latest pronouncements on the Republican Presidential Nomination race:
I’ve thought for months that Trump lasts until March and then dumps his people with Cruz. It looks increasingly likely.

In the meanwhile, either the GOP is bound and determined to toss its slim chances for victory into the hungry jaws of defeat or Mitt Romney is finally going to be subject to the draft.
With apologies to various prior original variations, not only is the 2016 Republican Presidential primary race stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.
