Quincy residents call on Koch busters to save Quincy from Koch trafficking.
Last Thursday, the two candidates for mayor who just missed the cut in the recent primary to make it to the upcoming heavyweight mayoral title bout courtesy of November’s General Election came out in support of former Mayor Bill Phelan’s quest to finally oust embattled Mayor Thomas P. Koch from City Hall.
These two endorsements were reportedly offered enthusiastically at a unity rally against the long problematic – if not also despotic – rule of the Koch Maladministration.

While Quincy Quarry did not cover this event as it was not invited to attend – nor likely welcome at – Koch campaign Kool Aid buffets and so endeavors to also practice balanced and fair non-coverage, the Quarry could not help but recount word heard on the street about this particular local political unity rally event.
And the word was overwhelming upbeat.
Not only was the event well-attended, the venue was said to be packed with attendees all but packed elbow to elbow as well as spilling out of the main room for this event.
The crowd was also said to be a highly diverse crowd of backgrounds, ethnic persuasions, faiths or philosophical persuasions as well as orientations.

In other words, reflecting of the reality of a New Quincy as opposed to the long ongoing usual suspects who are typically provided with play then pay special interests deals and/or patronage hires of old Quincy.
Expect Quincy Quarry to continue to follow the money as soon as the next cycle of Massachusetts Office of Campaign and Political Finance bi-monthly bank statement filings are submitted for the second half of September by all of the local mayoral primary candidates and after the Quarry’s crack-addled financial analysis expertise can review these latest filings.
