Quincy’s number one ward heeler caught soliciting in the library?
While out watching the polls in today’s local primary election, a Quincy Quarry news team captured digital images of Quincy’s number one ward heeler soliciting voters just outside of the Thomas Crane main library polling station.
As it is Quincy Quarry’s understanding that polling places are to supposed to enjoy a buffer zone safe from any political soliciting, it will likely be following up with the appropriate state oversight entity as regards the obvious soliciting by someone not on the primary ballot but who was still caught soliciting voters nonetheless.

Further troubling was how the police detail working the library’s polling place was oblivious to the soliciting within the assumed buffer zone.
Then again, all one has to do is cruise Quincy Center to know that all manner of illicit services and products can be readily solicited around City Hall just up the street, so why not also at the library?
Regardless, given recent allegations of ethics violations, as well as other suspect actions purportedly committed by this ward heeler, expect Quincy Quarry to continue to call into question this apparently serial offender.
Ladder, election laws sets clear boundaries for voters to be able to come and go from the polls with minimal intrusion. The ward heeler, however, would clearly appear to have working it well within the designated neutral zone. After all, if Planned Parenthood – as well as others – can enjoy a constitutionally allowed as well as statutorily established buffer zone, why should voters be allows the same also duly designated neutral zone?
So proud of Ward One Heeler at tonight’s council meeting….talking about the “Quincy being made the most historical city” she called out how she enjoys the tailgating party at the Thanksgiving Day football game….real class….
What else can one expect from a turkey on Turkey Day . . .

Yep … yessiree … tailgating at a Thanksgiving Day football game certainly qualifies Quincy as being THE most historic city. Such clear and cogent reasoning. Such impeccable logic. Her supporters must be bursting with pride that they’ve reelected someone with such a highly developed sense of history.
She’s was lucky her buddy won the mayor’s election and voter turn out was low…..rumor has it she is looking to run for Councilor at Large next time around….
Hammer, wouldn’t Lost running at Large be, well, “redumdant?”
Plus, she is still facing a likely expensive ethics matter hitting the fan around, say, March or thereabouts.
John Quincy Doe….one could only hope that ethic issues would come out….or the Louis parking lot deal she made…or maybe the maritime center issues….not sure if her defenders would ever see what a fake she is…..maybe when houses are torn down and 18 wheeler trucks are driving down Sea Street that residents of Hough’s Neck would wake up and see who they voted in.
Hammer, First off, expect more QQ coverage on Quincy’s ethically challenged ward heeler.
That and perhaps deserved outside official bad news for the heeler will be coming down upon her in due course. When, however, who the Q knows.
Next up, QQ suspects that the ward heeler is as much carrying the mayor’s water re the latest next ethically challenged proposed land buy by the City using taxpayers’ funds to buy a know to be struggling private business’ needed parking lot for use as a public parking lot which the business would surely continue to enjoy using at least some of the parking spaces.
Then again, the ward heeler does belong to the yacht club immediately next to the boat launch AND she also has to make amends with members after butting into its reconstruction after it was hit by a fire and so making that project more onerous, if not also more expensive.
Other problems include how does the business hoping to sell the parking lot retain its operating permit if it sells off its required by code parking lot?
Just this alone poses all manner of delay that surely must first be duly addressed before the proposed purchase could even be considered, not to mention all manner of opportunity for abutters to raise all manner of valid stinks along the way as well as afterwards.
Then again, maybe the problem will solve itself.
For example, Community Preservation money CANNOT be used to develop public parking.
As such, only either the use of Free Cash and/or other local taxpayer funded funding would be needed and it is going to be tough sledding to tap any Free Cash given the upcoming three years of payments on last winter’s snow coming due and the usual annual purchases of city vehicles with Free Cash right around the winter holdays.
That and one can only hope that the ward heeler has to be smart enough to know that pushing for this land grift just as Dan FlynnFlam is headed to trial in federal court for various of his land grifts would not make for great timing to push for this bailout sweetheart deal.
Heck, even the Southshore broadsheet might perhaps even raise a stink over this odiferous latest grift.

Please tell me that I just woke up from a bad dream….I’m hearing a rumor that the Ward One Heeler is pressuring her fellow councilors to vote for her to be President of the Council? Are you kidding me?
From high upon the hills of Ward 1, the great heeler reigns. Will you receive an answer to your plight? Only if it suits the heeler and you are in her favor at the time. Or maybe you can corner her at the princess’s regal drinking establishments. With a wave of the magic wand and… presto the answer appears!
Murf: High hills in Ward 1? Hills, a few; more than a few high residents, surely – but where are there any high hills?
Also, I think you meant to say something along the lines of did magic on a wand rather than “a wave of the magic wand. . .”
The only hills in her Kingdom are in what is actually but a very small hamlet…. When will the knights in shining armor arrive to save our poor serfs?
