Quincy number one ward heeler called on her ethics?
Quincy Quarry was recently copied anonymously with a purported complaint filing to the State Ethics Commission over various alleged ethical lapses involving primarily allegations of conflict of interest by Quincy’s long suspected number one ward heeler.
Key allegations include purportedly improper actions resulting in her personal enrichment with public funds in ways apparently at odds with at least Massachusetts General Law Chapter 268A, Section 20.
Given the rules of how the State Ethics Commission handles such complaints, however, it will neither confirm nor deny any complaint filing submitted to it until such time as it might review and then perhaps refer things along to –  for example – the Massachusetts Attorney General for further consideration and perhaps eventual sanction.
Whether – or not – any ruling will be made before the November local general election also remains to be seen.
As the purported complaint filing was provided to Quincy Quarry in a redacted format, the Quarry cannot confirm with complete certainty that the complaint was – in fact – duly filed with the State Ethics Commission.
At the same time, what was provided to Quincy Quarry would appear to have been submitted to the State Ethics Commission before it was then provided to the Quarry.
Perhaps more importantly to Quincy Quarry readers, nothing in the purported complaint filing appears to be at odds with Quincy Quarry’s understanding of at least some of the various items addressed in the complaint with which it has at least some general familiarity.
The Quarry is also all too well familiar with her base demeanor in general as is also broached in the purported complaint filing, especially towards those not on – say – her Christmas card list and/or campaign fund contributors list.
Quincy Quarry is further familiar with various of this ward heeler’s at least occasionally appearing to be both cavalier as well as sometimes curious actions when it comes to dealing with matters of public safety as well as other important matters involving her constituents.
Even so, Quincy Quarry offers no opinion on the veracity of the purported complaint filing, much less whether – or not – the purported complaint filing was actually filed with the State Ethics Commission .
At the same, Quincy Quarry is both offering the purported complaint filing up for its readers to ponder as well as that the Quarry looks forward to covering whatever the State Ethics Commission and/or any other oversight authorities might decide to do as regards both this particular purported complaint as well as with other suspected shortcomings of at least one other local public official along with various others in the Q.
As such, expect further hard hitting Quincy Quarry coverage as new revelations might transpire.
