Football Hall of Fame and legendary former New York Giants player Frank Gifford passed away unexpectedly of reportedly natural causes at his Connecticut home on Sunday.
While unarguably one of the greats of the early days of televised professional football, Gifford is perhaps even better know as “The Giffer” care of his long suffering Howard Cosell while doing the play-by-play calling of Monday Night Football games during his even longer and arguably even more illustrious career as a sports announcer.

Gifford also had a somewhat active career in Hollywood films, albeit mostly as an uncredited second banana.
Gifford was further said to be “a human love machine” by his third wife, well-known television cheerleader of a sort Kathie Lee Gifford.
His first two wives, however, apparently did not feel the same way – or at least exhibited the proper decorum as regards not discussing what goes on behind closed bedroom doors.
