– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy snow removal damage stills remains all around the Q.
In spite of promises by Quincy city officials to fast-track repairs of snow removal damage done last winter by non-bid work down by mostly out of town contractors, repairs are still pending.
In a good news, bad news counterpoint, city officials have already approved over $170,000.00 in damages claims; unfortunately, many more claims remain to be resolved and thus the total cost spent by city officials to less than effectively deal with last winter’s barely record – setting and generally very fluffy snowfall is expected to blow past – if not well past $14 million.

While Quincy Quarry has heard some rumors of timely repairs actually effected, and mostly purportedly in North Quincy as well as surely but coincidentally in and around embattled incumbent Mayor Thomas P. Koch’s neighborhood, actually documenting any such repairs remains as elusive the federal government implementing a balanced budget any time soon.
In an display of balanced and fair coverage by Quincy Quarry, it must thus note that city officials claim to be developing a plan to have certain favored contractors undertake the bulk of needed simple fence, landscaping and other less complex repairs.

When, however, such a plan might actually be impended and the contractors named, remains to be seen.
Regardless, when they are named, expect Quincy Quincy to review these same contractors names with the names of contributors on the Koch campaign’s report filings with the Massachusetts Office of Political and Campaign Finance.
In the meanwhile, the Quarry saw not point in wasting its time reaching out to Koch Maladministration spokesmodel Pinnochio Walkbacker for comment as it is only reasonable to assume that he is still overwhelmed trying to spin the mayor’s posterior out of trouble in the wake of his arguably cursing the Boston 2024’s plans to bring the Olympics to Massachusetts – and most especially to Quincy.
