– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News
Quincy storm drain sideways as well as not in the street.
In other words, things continue misaligned, if not also crooked, in the Q.
While such is not exactly news in the Quincy, Quincy Quarry has to report events as they continue to break badly in the Q.
In this case, how project planning for the Hancock Street realignment project would appear to continue to suffer all manner of curious misalignments.

As the growing legions of loyal Quincy Quarry readers will recall, the Quarry has previously reported that the promised wider sidewalks are in at least some instances actually to eventually be narrower, street lights are ending up in the street, new curbing is not always lining up as well as that fire hydrants are ending up in the street.
And now, the Quarry must report finding storm drainage not in the street where it belongs.
Quincy Quarry considered reaching out to Koch spokesmodel Chris “Pinocchio” Walkbacker for comment on this latest apparent Q-up in the Q; however, it remembered that no one the Quarry newsroom can recall his ever providing a straight answer to any question asked of him and thus saw reason to bother asking.

Plus, one can only assume that he is surely too busy dialing for dollars for the Koch campaign fund as it has slipped into a negative cash flow in recent weeks and that soliciting any more “contributions” from snow removal contractors has become at least ill-advised, if not also toxic, for the mayor’s seeking reelection.
As a projected result, the Koch Committee campaign fund would thus appear to currently roughly a $100,000.00 short of funding its operations at merely its most recent month’s spending rate of $76,000.00 at what is a very early point in the campaign season.
As ever-increasing spending has long been the mayor’s modius operendi, a cash flow crunch is surely at least a possibility.
Fortunately for the Koch Committee, the annual contribution cap per contributor was raised to $1,000.00  this year from the previous $500.00 annual maximum.

Unfortunately for all Massachusetts political candidates seeking election to in state offices, the prior years’ allowance of a contribution cap restart given a primary election is no more and thus the best case maximum hit per contributor is still only a $1,000.00.
Even more unfortunate, however, is that Koch vassals and local special interests can conversely now be tapped for the $1,000.00 maximum early as well as surely often until they kick in at the max.
At the same time, Quincy Quarry was not able to confirm in time to meet publication deadlines whether – or not – a Koch Committee PayPal® or some other manner of payment system monthly “contribution” plan is in the works.
Regardless, one can only reasonable assume that money is all but assuredly going down the drain on the Hancock Street realignment project and as it has done previously on many other Koch Maladministration initiatives.
