Quincy Mayor Koch’s campaign team coasting?
Politicians campaigning – if not also trafficking – for votes on the Fourth of July is arguably as American as apple pie.  Throw in the fact this year’s local election in Quincy is already a contentious one that is also fraught with more opponents than in any of many previous local elections and thus active campaigning is only to be expected.

At the surely expensively decorated for a small city mayoral race Koch for Koch headquarters, however, not only was no one home on the Fourth, the lights were also out.
Given the long holiday weekend, Quincy Quarry was not able to confirm if embattled incumbent Mayor Koch’s so-called volunteers were staying away given previous videoing of them by the No More Koch anti-Koch video crew or just slacking as some are said to do at the City of Quincy day jobs.

Support for Koch dropping to ground?

Then again, as the No More Koch video crew was unable to engender any responses from one of Koch’s long suspected to be variously indentured supporters, the Quarry probably could have not have obtained any comments either.
At the same time, Quincy Quarry has received reports that at least some of Koch’s challengers as well as at least also some of those running for lesser local offices were planning to be out on the hustings on the Fourth, however much perhaps in ways seemingly low key.
Embattled incumbent Mayor Koch might also be out doing the same on the Fourth; however, it is common knowledge that he does not stand up in ways readily obvious in a crowd.

Standing up against Koch

At the same time, Quincy Quarry must note receiving word of a Koch standout on Southern Artery on the Third of July and at which it was also said that duly embattled incumbent Mayor Koch was easy to spot for change.
The reason for this easy as well as rare public non photo op nor heading out to lunch sighting was that apparently those participating were few in numbers.
The purportedly few participating at this thus thin showing of support were said to be the duly embattled incumbent himself, Department of Public Works Commissar and senior coat holder Dan “Spanky” Raymondi, a very small contingent of suspected Praetorian body guards, perhaps a handful of various other Kochsters and a few wayward youth whom it is hoped can be rehabilitated before it is too late.
Conversely, standings out as well as up against duly embattled Mayor Koch continue, if not also growing in both numbers as well as the number of those participating.
Expect on more hard-hitting coverage of what is sure to also be a hard-hitting, if not also below the belt, campaign season.
