– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News.
Quincy High School suspected parcourse site has been partially cleared of snow.
In a surely desperate effort to complete a construction project by the City of Quincy – any project however late and surely over-budget as per the Koch Maladministration inept usual, workers have dug out part of the suspected parcourse so that work on this particular running late project might perhaps both resume sometime soon as well as perhaps finally be completed.
After all, why save money waiting a few more days for snow to melt when there is money available to waste to but minimally cut the projected 5 months or so delay in completing this project by a couple of days?
As previously reported in both the South Shore broadsheet as well as sodded to death ad nauseam by Quincy Quarry, City of Quincy Director of Parks & Forestry Executive Director Chris Cassani stated that “. . . the project – to include a new stone wall, benches and parking spaces – should be mostly finished and open to the public in November.”
At the same time, however, is it only fair to note that Mr. Cassini did not specifically note in which Calendar Year.
Quincy Quarry also has yet to find out if, much less when, School Committee Chair and embattled Mayor Thomas P. Koch – a well-known physical image maven himself – might finally host the Joch era de riguer photo op dedication of the suspected new parcourse as a key component of a major upgrading of the physical fitness program for all students at Quincy High.
After all, when the project was purportedly to be completed by the end of last year, Koch Maladministration spokesmodel Chris “Pinnochio” Walkbacker concurrently announced that when the parcourse might actually be fully completed, both Fall On Ambulance Company and Dunking Doughnuts had already agreed to be the official lead sponsors for the mayor’s official first run through during the dedication ceremonies.
Whether – or not – the services of second tier event sponsor Keohang Funeral Parlor might also be needed remains to be seen.
In the meanwhile, Quincy Quarry is hoping for reasons obvious that this running late as usual project is completed late soon enough so that it will still be early enough in the spring that warm-ups as opposed to shorts will be the appropriate attire for the ceremonial mayoral first walk through the suspected parcourse.
