– News about Quincy MA from Quincy Quarry News

Quincy Ward 1 City Councillor is out among the drifts.

In fact, she could be looking at some face time face down in one sometime soon.

The Ward 1 Councillor has been said to have spent many an hour riding along with QPD officers out on patrol as snow happens.

That and throwing her weight around during the back to back to back to back some more snowstorms that have turned Quincy into snow-covered tundra.

In addition to the patently obvious nuisance factor, this well-known nuisance is rumored to be micro-managing the snow removal process all but down to individual snowflakes in spite of her abject lack of any operational authority.

This meddling is especially counterproductive as she has little experience shoveling anything other than bovine byproduct at city council as well as via shamelessly self-promoting Facebook page that more and more readers are instead coming to find to be almost as entertaining as a hard-hitting Quincy Quarry story.

Most amusing of all, however, is her rumored and but self-deluding belief that she can win an at large council seat come November as such would require her offsetting her ever-imploding support within Ward 1 against an already formally announced candidate who has enjoyed multiple successes campaigning for citywide office.

In the meanwhile, her so undermining of the productivity of what little plowing has been done in her ward appears to have blown well past the tipping point.

Among her many detrimental intrusions, her insistence upon police details at the rare snow removal operation in her district comes at a time when most officers are exhausted from covering policing the Q and thus for once have no interest whatsoever in detail duty on the increasingly narrow local goat paths that once were streets, not to mention that the QPD’s nine dog K-9 corps are not sled dog trained.

Fortunately, there have been some resultant positives, albeit more of the passive/aggressive sort.

The plowing of her own street has surely but coincidentally dropped from its formerly also surely coincidental well-plowed treatment to below average for the far below average plowing of her ward other than on certain streets in the Q and the always kept well-plowed City Hall employee as well as also long suspected free VIP commuter parking lot.

While her neighbors have so also suffered, many are still finding consolation in seeing Karma finally do her thing.

Additionally, there is surely considerable cathartic benefit for those vicariously pondering which snowbank to use to hide a body until the July thaw.

Most beneficial of all, however, surely many plow drivers and perhaps even a number of QPD officers are s discovering that their significant others are not even as half bad they could be and thus will express their heartfelt appreciation when they finally return home – around, say, midweek or so.
