The pinnacle event of this weekend’s Christmas festivities in Quincy comes midday Saturday as Santa Claus and five elves engage in an aerial feat – jumping out of an airplane and parachuting onto Pageant Field.
Barry Welch, Quincy’s recreation director and one of this year’s parade planners, said the event could easily pull in 5,000 people.
