Family and friends plan vigil for Christopher McCallum.

Mr. McCallum is said to have died as a result of a sucker punching and purportedly even worse that then followed shortly after midnight in the wee hours of Sunday, January twenty-seventh of this year.

Per all published accounts, Mr. McCallum was trying to break up a fight between the alleged sucker puncher and someone else as well as that McCallum was both an all-around as well as a long-time great person who will be sorely missed by his family and many friends.

Adding to the tragedy, almost three weeks after this homicide there has yet to be an arrest made even though the name of the alleged sucker puncher was widely known on the street by no later than the Monday after Mr. McCallum was struck and later died from his injuries.

That and adding to this tragedy is how the Quincy Police Department later recused itself from the investigation most likely given all manner of close ties to the purported sucker puncher as well as a rumored operational shortcoming, if not also recused itself much later than it should have done given these troubling circumstances.

While Quincy Quarry expects that the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office will eventually see that justice is serviced as regards the brutal killing of Mr. McCallum, the Quarry is not yet certain at this point if rumored collateral problems surrounding this incident will also be as duly addressed given the apparent potential for multiple parties to be held financially liable for this wrongful death.

The vigil will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday behind the Squantum Elementary School, 50 Huckins Ave, Quincy Massachusetts.
