Quincy Quarry Weekly Fish Wrap: is an MBTA train wreck coming down the tracks?

This past week was an interesting one.

A wicked interesting one even per the usually curious strange doings all often inflicted upon interminably long suffering residents of Quincy.

While local news has been a bit sparse on some fronts as various local officials are suspected of being struck by PTSD in the wake of last week’s elections, there was major breaking badly bad news for the Q announced by MBTA officials this week.

Most especially given that one could easily read between the lines of their spoken words and which were spoken with forked tongues.

Simply put: count on a multiple years’ long running train wreck in the making for the Q care of what would clearly appear to be the MBTA’s likely to be less than well-planned out plans to variously renovate local Red Line stations

Even so, the T is still proceeding recklessly with its so-called plans and thus locals should expect a train wreck.

A wicked ugly train wreck.

Fortunately, there are also concurrent hints of a possible silver lining in the approaching dark cloud caused by all manner impending train wrecks: the very real potential for multiple political career endings for various local public officials as well as probably the same for various other non-locals appear likely by the time the dust from the train wreck eventually settles in some as yet unknown year in the relatively distant future.

On the state level, the big scandal of late has been the decapitation of the heads of the Massachusetts State Police over the ordered removal from a police report of an offer of head by the daughter of a drug court judge while she was undergoing arrest for alleged drugged driving.

Even per the infamous “do you know who I am” standards of Massachusetts, one can only assume that more heads are going to roll with only how many more yet to be seen.

Paving over a problematic past …

Returning to local breaking badly bad news, in recent days Quincy Quarry reported on apparent close to a year late from an already previously similarly delayed but perhaps finally impending completion of the also ran way over budget North Quincy High stadium complex.

That and what would a week in the Q be without Quincy Quarry coverage of even more tree killings in the Q?

That and also count on in coming days major Quincy Quarry exposé on what has surely been among the largest mass as well as larger tree killings in the Q in recent years in a community infamous for serial tree killings.
